1+1 DAY INTENSIVE ADVENTURE PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOp

OVERVIEW

Lets get after it! On January 15th and 16th, I will be leading a synergetic photo workshop in Bellingham, WA. If you join us for the round-table workshop on the 15th, you'll have the option to get out in the field and shoot skiing with me at Mt. Baker on the 16th. In the classroom, I'll be going through everything from the fundamentals of photographic theory, the equipment I use, building and marketing a photography business, pre-production of shoots, post-production (Adobe Lightroom), etc. We'll meet at Western Washington University from 8am to 6pm. After a lunch break, we'll have the chance to shoot together for an hour, head back to the classroom, then show our photos and brainstorm as a collaborative group. Throughout the day, students are encouraged to ask any and all questions, creating an easy, spontaneous atmosphere. At Mt. Baker, we'll spend the day sniffing out the good snow and light, going over the previous day's lessons in real-world conditions.

4) Adventure sport photography - what it takes

*** LUNCH ***

5) Starting, marketing and running a photography business

6) Shooting for brands versus magazines

*** GO OUTSIDE AND SHOOT TOGETHER ***

7) Backing up and storing photos

8) Editing and organizing photos (Adobe Lightroom)

9) Collaborative critique of photos shot that day

10) Q & A

16TH:  We'll start with skiing and shooting, followed by skiing and shooting, then wrapping up the day with a bunch more skiing and shooting.
